I am an 82 year old woman, mother and grandmother. I came to the United States from Mexico seeking a better life and to provide for my family. I worked over 60 years in domestic households. I taught myself English, I became an American citizen and I always vote. I had my youngest daughter in the US and I’m grateful to have been able to give her the comforts that I never had. I wanted her to have a better life and have the opportunity to follow her dreams. I am proud of the woman she is today.

“Do not wait for someone else to come and speak for you. It’s you who can change the world. -Malala Yousafzai
I often wondered what {strength is?} When you feel as though you have not accomplished anything at this point in life, I look back and say yes, yes I have! I have hit the bottom and have climbed and fought to get back up. I’ve had to fight that much harder as a single mother. I've struggled, cried, lost battles, laughed, won, and raised a daughter, that is strength! My hope is to instill strength in my daughter, in fact I know I have. - Kim Moreland

Perhaps This is the Moment For Which YOU HAVE Been Created. -Esther 4:14
Knowing your self-worth not only embraces your charisma, wisdom, and triumphs, but it more importantly allows you to conquer knowing and unknowing labels society has bestowed upon you. Instead of accepting overwhelming pressures and brands the world suggests you to be, it is critical to know that having perseverance, and inner peace with respect are vital to your role as a woman. I am honored to be a Christian, Wife, Mother, Daughter, Physical Therapist, and a Friend. Being able to withdraw from humanity's imprinted stigmas allows me to have the ability to embrace life and others with compassion and dignity. I have been able to overcome variable qualms and former thoughts of depression and suicide because I evolved to individualize and empower my self-assurance and prestige. Remember, You are Fearfully and Wonderfully Made with Love.

“Just because I have my standards, they think I’m a bitch.” – Diana Ross
To be a black woman is to carry a heavy load. My self-image was infected from birth. My dark skin, full lips and kinky hair always made me feel inferior. As a young woman, my mother always said, "As a black woman, you must be better than everyone else. Stronger, smarter, more talented!". I've earned a Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology. I'm a property owner, a mother of 3 beautiful children and an entrepreneur. I've experienced tremendous rises and falls throughout my journey. I've been reborn, embracing the beautiful Phoenix I've become. I want it all. I can do it all, and I'm going for it! -Clarice Adell Nelson

“Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one’s courage.” – Anais Nin
A woman is expected to exhibit a gamut of emotions and qualities, possibly all in one day, possibly for more than one person or event, and all with grace: fragility, empathy, strength, protection, rage, forgiveness, compassion.
This is not a curse, but a blessing. Women have a unique ability to handle anything and everything that might face them. Lift up the women in your life and hold their hands along the way. -Erika Davis

Today, January 20, 2021, I wear these pearls to show unity with all women in our country. For too long, women have been at the mercy of politicians NOT of their gender but making decisions for us and our bodies. With the recent election, I feel women finally have the voice we have longed to hear from the top of the mountain. I pray Vice President Harris speaks to ears that will listen and hearts that will act. Now, we are represented and it’s a glorious feeling!

Embracing our power and competence to become masters of a professional world while trying our best to remind ourselves and the world how to love. Love ourselves and those dear to us. Our life's time, body, and energy are naturally designated to being nurturers to put the needs of those we love before our own. Being a woman is to know sacrifice, and power, like no other.

Love, Respect, Humility, and Passion.
I strive to live by these four words daily. Love yourself and those around you. Love is powerful and a cure for all. Respect and humility go hand in hand. Respecting yourself and others is a humbling act that helps me embrace, admire and learn from our differences. I've been a real estate agent for 18 years. Passion has kept me in this business. Passion to help others is what drives me, it feeds my soul on so many levels. Whatever you choose to do, do it with passion, maintain it with love, respect and humility.

Motherhood has made me feel the most beautiful I’ve ever felt. There’s a special feeling you can’t explain that overtakes your heart when you connect to the amazing little human growing inside your body. Embracing every second of the unknown journey has been such a powerful lesson. The most unexpected transformations come when you are truly tuned into your purpose and true self. Connect to your faith and fear not the journey of life that awaits! I’m proud to shine in the light that comes with the honor of being a woman turned mother. Creating life with the love of mine has been the absolute greatest blessing of all. -Ky Meyer

At the age of 13, I decided that I would try to live my life without regret, not knowing what that would really entail. Back then it was just an ideal. But years later as a nurse, living without regret is the tenacity to show up day in and day out still giving despite the inevitable end of life. As a mother, living without regret is the realization that time is the most valuable thing you own and choosing to spend it wisely. Delicately balancing life work and family in order to provide as much light and love as you can not only in your own home but to the world around you. -Minh McPherren

"The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step" - Lao Tzu
As women, we strive to embrace life's challenges, juggle families and careers. To move forward in a man's world, to attain equality through planning and hard work. As a healthcare worker, I come face to face with life's setbacks. I entrust my knowledge and embrace the opportunity to make a difference in a stranger's life, to coach and empower them, to help them regain a sense of self, to help make their world a better place. My everyday goal is to make someone smile, to make a difference.

I am a wife, runner, funeral director, and woman. I set myself to achieve new goals because I know I can do anything I put my mind to. As a wife, I respect and I support my husband 100%. As a runner, I can go into meditation and push myself for a new personal best. As a funeral director, I bring compassion to our grieving families. As a woman, I support and encourage other women to achieve what she is capable of.
